How to cook shrimp?
3 basic methods
1: Boiled shrimp
Remove your shrimp from the fridge at least 20 minutes before. Rinse and let sit for a few more minutes. You have the choice whether or not to remove the shell.
Boil a large pot of water. Then add the shrimp to the pan. They must all be covered by water.
Leave in boiling water for 2 minutes. Then remove the closed pot from the heat while keeping the shrimp in the water.
Leave them like this for 10 minutes. Notice that they have taken on the pink color.
Drain and serve. You can peel or leave the choice to each guest to do it at the table.
2: Grilled shrimp
Prepare your barbecue first.
Take the shrimp out of the fridge, clean and rinse. Dry.
Use wooden or metal skewers and pierce the shrimp right through.
Cut onions, peppers or other vegetables if you wish and thread with the shrimp alternately.
Brush with oil and seasonings.
Place the shrimp skewers on the barbecue. Cook each side for 3 minutes. The appearance of the flesh is bright pink and opaque white.
3: Sautéed shrimps
Remove the shrimp from the fridge, rinse and pat dry. Shell them.
Put a pan over medium heat. Add a drizzle of oil then top with the shrimp.
Make sure the shrimp do not overlap.
Leave to cook for 3 minutes. Go back and do the same.
You get shrimp with a bright pink appearance.
