HOW TO COOK LEMON AND POPPY SEED PLUMCAKE

Today I leave you the recipe for a dessert with a little used ingredient but which is actually added in many desserts in the East, poppy seeds !!The Lemon and Poppy Seed Plumcake is a soft and fragrant dessert. Perfect to soak or to accompany a cup of tea, perhaps with a veil of citrus jam on the surface if you want to make it even more delicious.
INGREDIENTS
- 300 g 00 flour
- 3 eggs
- 125 ml plain white yogurt
- 100 g granulated sugar
- 70 ml seed oil
- 1 sachet of instant yeast for sweets
- juice of one lemon
- grated zest of half a lemon
- 2 tablespoons poppy seeds
- pinch of salt
INSTRUCTIONS
- Start preparing the Lemon and Poppy Seed Plumcake . In a bowl, whip the sugar with the eggs until it becomes a clear mixture, then add the yogurt and mix the ingredients well.
- Pour in the oil and continue to mix. Add the grated lemon zest, a pinch of salt and the sifted flour with the baking powder.
- Mix all the ingredients and finally add the poppy seeds. Turn on the oven to 180 degrees, grease and flour a loaf pan and pour the mixture into it and bake for 40-45 minutes.
- Do the toothpick test to check the cooking. Turn off the oven and let the plum cake cool. Your Lemon and Poppy Seed Plumcake is ready to serve.
